The petroglyphs that can be seen in Saimaluu-Tash belong to different eras from ancient times (II millennium BC) to the Middle Ages (I-VIII centuries), therefore they are made in different styles. They are applied to more than 10,000 large stones scattered around the area.

For hours you can look at stones full of petroglyphs from different years, where you can read the history of the area. Thus, the Saimaluu-Tash gallery is the most important source of knowledge about the life and life of people, their daily activities and beliefs. The drawings depict people and animals, scenes of hunting, ploughing and taming of wild animals, religious ceremonies and rituals. Local people believe that not every person can get to Saimaluu-Tash, the road to the Saimaluu-Tash tract is passable only in summer, the rest of the time there is snow here. Petroglyphs lie under a layer of snow for most of the year. Translated from Kyrgyz, Saimaluu-Tash means “patterned stone”, which perfectly characterizes this amazing place.
