Places to visit: Bishkek, Chon Kemin, Son-Kul Lake, Naryn.

Tour summary:

Day 1: Bishkek
Arrival to Bishkek. Meeting at the airport and drive to Bishkek. Check in to the hotel. After some rest sightseeing tour of Bishkek: you will see central Ala-Too SquareOak Park, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the Historical Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental market – Osh Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Bishkek – Chon Kemin valley
After breakfast transfer to Chon Kemin Valley (national nature reserve) by car. On the way a visit to Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 Century) and the museum under open air of Balbals (stone warriors). After lunch you will have a short walk to Chon-Kemin gorge. Dinner and overnight at guesthouse.

Day 3: Chon Kemin Valley – Son Kul Lake 
In the morning transfer to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan – Son-Kul Lake. Son Kul Lake is situated on 3013 meters above sea level and surrounded by beautiful mountains. This lake is very famous for its relaxing atmosphere as it is situated far from busy cities. Upon arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight in Kyrgyz yurts, it is made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings. Yurts are built without nails.

Day 4: Son Kul Lake 
After breakfast you will have enough free time to see the environs, and explore its nature on your own. Horse back riding trip along the shore of the lake is also possible for additional price. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture of local people. Dinner and overnight in yurt.

Day 5: Son Kul Lake – Kumbel Valley

Breakfast. Free morning for the preparation. Starting the riding from the host family of the Yurt camp. The camp side will be at the footstep of the Kumbell Pass.  Overnight and dinner in tents.

Day 6: Kumbel Valley – Orto syrt

On this day you will ride up to 3650 m. to the pass Kumbel (Sandy Pass). The pass used by nomads to bring their stock to Song-Kul lake and in the autumn back to the village. On this day you will cross the narrow gorge about 2 m. wide, people tells the legend of the place of Manas making the pass though the mountain with its sword. Dinner and overnight in the tents by the river side.

Day 7: Orto syrt – Ak-Kuduk valley

Breakfast. Horse ride to the south over the second Achik Tash Pass about 3500 m.  Riding down to the Valley of Ak Kuduk. The camp will be in the forest. From the camp you can see the ibex grazing at the mountains. Dinner and overnight in the tent.

Day 8: Ak-Kuduk – Naryn
After breakfast . Riding down about 2 -3 hours to the meeting point with the driver. See of with the stablemen. Transfer to Naryn 70 km. It is a town with a long, thin shape which straddles the fast flowing Naryn River and is set between high, steep cliffs. The River Naryn is the longest in Kyrgyzstan (535 km), and has been famous from antiquity. It is an ancient tributary of the Syr-Darya River which like its northern twin, the Amu-Darya, flowed into the Aral Sea. Overnight in the guesthouse.

Day 9: Naryn– Bishkek
After breakfast you will have a free time till you are picked up by your guide and driver. Transfer to Bishkek  (390 km) by car over the Dolon pass 3030 m,  through a stunning Boom Gorge . Visit a felt carpet workshop in Kochkor where you can watch a process of making Kyrgyz national felt carpets and souvenirs and even take a part in making carpets if you wish. At 7 pm is a farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Bishkek – departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport. Fly home.
