Day 1: Airport – Bishkek

Meeting at the airport. Transfer to Bishkek. Accommodation at a hotel. Rest. Transfer to Ala-Archa National Park (40 km), where you can enjoy the highest snowy peaks, wide spruce forests, birch groves, numerous springs with pure glacier water and mighty rocks. Easy walk along the gorge. Transfer to Bishkek. Lunch. City tour  – visiting Ala-Too Square and the Osh Bazaar. Hotel accommodation

Day 2: Bishkek – Chu River – Chon Kemin

At 09:00 am after breakfast transfer to the Chu River (113 km). On arrival, a brief introduction on the rafting techniques with the instructors, on who will drive the catamarans. Rafting down the Chu River. The length of the rafting – 15 km. The maximum degree of complexity – 3. The way goes along the river and the car will accompany the group during the rafting. During the short period of time you will have the opportunity to get an unforgettable experience and drive. Meeting the driver at the Buruldai Bridge. Transfer to Chon-Kemin. Lunch in the guest house. After lunch process of setting up the yurt. Yurt is a comfortable dwelling for nomadic people, which can be quickly dismantled, easily unloaded, quickly assembled. Today we invite you to a master class on making national Kyrgyz bread – boorsok. Dinner, folklore program.

Day 3: Chon-Kemin – horseback riding tour

After breakfast transfer to the starting point of horse tour in Tar Suu village. Getting acquainted with the horse tour staff. Passage by horseback under the Kalmak Ashuu Pass.  Along the way you will enjoy the primeval beauty of nature, the flight of birds of prey.  All your way will be accompanied by murmuring of brooks coming from high in the glaciers.

Lunch – picnic. Dinner and accommodation in tents.

Day 4: Kalmak-Ashuu Pass – Balykchi – Issyk-Kul

After breakfast transfer by horseback over the “Kalmak-Ashuu” Pass (altitude 3540 m). Lunch – picnic.

Descend to the area near Balykchy. Meeting the driver and transfer to the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Accommodation at the hotel on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.

Day 5: Issyk Kul – Karakol

After breakfast visiting the museum of open air petroglyphs. Then transfer to Karakol. Upon arrival: lunch with an Uyghur family. After lunch. City tour in Karakol. You will visit Dungan Mosque built in Chinese style without any nails. And also the Russian Orthodox Church built of wood and Ella Mailart Museum. In the evening transfer to Dungan village near Karakol. Dinner at a Dungan family, which will offer you a variety of Dungan cuisine. You will learn the fascinating story of why this Muslim Chinese group migrated to this region 140 years ago and how Dungan families today maintain their traditional culture and cuisine. Transfer to Karakol. Accommodation at hotel.

Day 6: Karakol – Chon-Kyzyl Suu Gorge

Departure to Chon-Kyzyl-Suu Gorge from Karakol city (1,5 hours). We will start our hike at Jyly-Suu hot springs. Our way will pass through thick spruce forests and diverse vegetation, and up past the weather station of the gorge. After about two hours we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we will continue our hike for another 2-3 hours to our camp site, enjoying the red-bottomed river and nature along the way. In total, our hike time will be about 4-5 hours (10 km). We will camp under the Arch-Tor Pass and enjoy dinner. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 7: Chon Kyzyl Suu – Jety Oguz

Breakfast. On this day, we will pass over Arch-Tor Pass (3850 m) and move to the Jety-Oguz gorge. Just below the pass we will enter a thick grove of juniper bushes. These trees are tall and in some places cover the trail from above, giving the impression that we are walking through a tunnel. We camp a little lower down the gorge and spend the night. The gorge overlooks Oguz-Bashi Peak at 5178 meters. Trekking time is about 5-6 hours. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 8: Jety Oguz – Bokonbaevo

After breakfast we will continue our way further. We will cross the Jety-Oguz River and continue our descent down the gorge. Descent will take about 2-3 hours. Our goal is Kok-Zhaiyk pasture, where more than 100 yurts are set up by families of shepherds during summer. Maiden’s Spit waterfall is not far from here. After lunch we can go up to the waterfall and visit it. From the pasture we meet the driver and transfer to Bokonbaevo, on the way we will stop at the famous red rocks of Jeti-Oguz (Seven Bulls) for a photo session. Next stop is Fairy Tale Gorge, an amazing place formed by sandstones mineralized with multicolored inclusions. Water and wind were natural sculptors who created amazing castles and towers, figures of fabulous animals. Not only will you see how bread is made, you can even take part in the process of making it. Dinner and accommodation in the guest house in the village of Bokonbaevo.

Day 9: Bokonbaevo – Kochkor – Son-Kul

After breakfast transfer to the place of hunting show with golden eagle and you will have a chance to take photos with a golden eagle. After transfer to Kochkor. Upon arrival to Kochkor you have lunch in Kyrgyz family. After lunch you will have a master class on how to make an ala-kiyiz felt mat. You will take part in the process of making a product of felt. Transfer to Son-Kul Lake via the Kalmak Ashuu Pass (3447 km), Son-Kul is a large mountain lake, the second largest in Kyrgyzstan at the altitude of 3016 m above sea level. Dinner and accommodation in a yurt camp. In this most beautiful place you will have a rest from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. On arrival you will have free time for a walk to the lake and the surrounding area.

Day 10: Son-Kul – Naryn – Tash-Rabat

After breakfast you have some free time. You will have time to enjoy the amazing landscapes of this place: a carpet of edelweiss, a beautiful mountain lake. You will see herds of horses and sheep, try kymyz (fermented mare’s milk). If you wish you can go horseback riding along the lake shore or take a walk in the hills around the mountain valley.

After lunch at 13:30 transfer to Tash-Rabat (115 km) towards the Chinese border via Naryn. Tash-Rabat, an 11th century caravanserai, served as a fortress for travelers along the Great Silk Road. It is a carefully restored stone building. Dinner and overnight stay in the yurt camp.

Day 11: Tash RabatKel Suu Lake

In the morning at 08:00 transfer to Kel Suu (210 km – 4-5 hours). Kel-Suu is a high-mountain lake in At-Bashy region of Naryn province in south-eastern Kyrgyzstan. It is situated on the height of 3500 m above the sea level in the valley of Kurumduk mountains of Tian-Shan. From one side the Kel-Suu lake rests against sheer cliffs, and from the east – against the Sary-Beles mountain (4726 m high). It was formed quite recently, as a result of a landslide in 1980s. Its width varies from about 800 meters to 100 narrow meters in some places. Lunch at the yurt camp near Kol Suu Lake. After lunch, transfer to the lake. Walk around. Return to the yurt camp. Dinner and overnight stop in the yurt camp near the Kel Suu Lake.

Day 12: Kel Suu Lake – Naryn

After breakfast free time. Trekking in the vicinity.  Lunch in the yurt camp. After lunch transfer to Naryn (4-5 hours). Dinner and check in to Naryn hotel.

Day 13: Naryn – Bishkek

After breakfast transfer to Bishkek (400 km, 6 hours). On the way stop in Kochkor for lunch. Accommodation at hotel. Free time. Farewell dinner at Supara Ethnocomplex.

Day 14: Bishkek – airport

Transfer to the airport (30 km).
